The irony of talking about brainrot was the first thing I thought of was…
Buy Meta.
If TikTok is turned off, creators are going to want to use another platform, and the easiest place to go will be Instagram with Reels.
It makes most sense — either creators will double down on it if they are already there, or new creators will simply flock to the platform.
We run ads on Facebook/Instagram…
And interestingly, this was a conversation I had with our ads guy this week…
Quite the insight.
Why does all this matter?
Well if Instagram gets ALL of that US TikTok traffic, that translates to ad revenue, which means Meta shares go up.
Very simple, and sometimes, the simple is the best strategy.
I am therefore selling down all Amazon shares in the Fink Portfolio and buying Meta instead.
